RECOGNISE that mutual recognition and respect is the essential foundation on which relations between two nations are built; 2. AFFIRM that both nations formally recognise each other as independent and sovereign nations; 3. ACKNOWLEDGE the importance of promoting friendship between our nations with the intent of developing greater international understanding and co-operation; 4. RESOLVE to pursue opportunities to work together in a spirit of understanding on matters of mutual interest; 5. UNDERSTAND the importance of maintaining relations on a long-term perspective; 6. CONCLUDE that this Treaty formally embodies the friendship and cooperation desirous between our governments and peoples of our two nations; 7. AGREE that either party may unilaterally withdraw from the Treaty after giving thirty days notice; 8. Novatainian treaty: THE TREATY OF NEW EMPIRE AFFIRMING the spirit of friendship and cooperation on which relations between the two nations are based, and wishing to place their relations on an closer and more solid foundation; AFFIRMING that both nations formally recognise and respect each other as independent and sovereign nations, including each other's sovereign territories: websites, message boards and other real or virtual property under direct or indirect control of their respective governments, as proclaimed by them and as long as respecting others micronations' sovereignty under international law and Intermicronational convention, and refuting claims of annexation by any party; ACKNOWLEDGING the importance to each nation of the relationship and the close connection between them; RESOLVED to evaluate and pursue opportunities for their governments and their peoples to work closer together in a spirit of understanding on matters of mutual interest; CONVINCED of the importance of creating, developing and maintaining relations on an equitable and mutually advantageous basis in a long-term perspective; RECOGNISING that cooperation between the two nations should have their common interest in the prosperity and welfare of both nations; RECOGNISING full diplomatic immunity of King Lachlan of Novatainia; and full diplomatic immunity of the twin Emperors of New Empire; AFFIRMING that each contracting party has the right to appoint an ambassador to the other contracting party, where each contracting party is allowed to demand immediate removal of the ambassador at any time since arrival and without notice; RESOLVING to open each others borders to allow dual citizens upon submission of a request by that citizen to the Home Office of the respective citizen and, as a subsequence, establish a free trade zone between our two nations; BELIEVING that should one nation be attacked, or any brother of our nations be unduly persecuted, both nations agree that an armed attack or threat against one of them shall be considered an attack or threat against both, except where this conflicts with a previous treaty of either party.
